SHANGHAI, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The majority of Shanghai's top-graded tourist attractions and all of its libraries have resumed operation as of Wednesday, according to local authorities.
A total of 77 tourist attractions in Shanghai have resumed operation, accounting for 76.2 percent of the city's over 100 Class-A attractions, said Yu Xiufen, head of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism on an online conference held Wednesday.
Shanghai's 40 libraries and cultural centers have all reopened. A total of 86 museums and galleries have also resumed operation.
Over 4,050 hotels are operating normally, accounting for 62 percent of the city's hospitality capacity.
Shanghai has rolled out specific guidelines for cultural and tourism industries, including hotels, tourist attractions and museums, to guide the epidemic prevention and control work of the industries.
The city has provided financial aid for culture and tourism industries hit by the coronavirus outbreak, including refunding deposit for travel agencies, allocating special funds for cultural and tourism development and providing aid for loans.
Shanghai will launch a series of measures to boost the city's cultural and tourism consumption and promote the industries to develop with higher quality. Enditem |
